My first contact with her work came through a recommendation from my obstetrician in the city of Lowell, Massachusetts, as Caroline was coming to our city to photograph the births of other women. At that time, the idea of having photos taken had not yet crossed my mind, as there were not many photographers in our region, but I noticed a difference in her work, with very unique and distinctive images that caught my attention. It was clear to me that the reason for her coming from Brazil to the United States to do this work is that her way of photographing is unique, and she has experience in dealing with any adverse situation. I was pregnant with my second daughter, and we saw a great opportunity to have maternity photos taken, an idea that had not occurred to me until then. The result of these photos far exceeded my expectations.

I became acquainted with Caroline's work while still living in Brazil. I had the opportunity to hire her to capture my daughter's first birthday. A few years later, we left Brazil and moved to the United States, where I had another child. I had a frustrating experience with birth photography in the United States when I hired a company that did not meet my expectations regarding the photos. I had seen Caroline's work on social media and identified with her way of photographing the birth of babies. So, the following year, I was pregnant again and concerned about how to have this special moment recorded. I couldn't find a professional capable of capturing this moment excellently. That's when I decided to ask Caroline if she would come to my country to photograph the birth of my baby. She promptly agreed and came to capture every important moment of my labour, had the sensitivity to photograph my baby being born, and the meeting of my children with their newborn sibling. We had the happy opportunity to bring her to the United States to photograph my maternity session, the birth, and the newborn session of my child. We were happy and grateful to bring her from so far away to preserve this moment for our family through her work. We were certain that this investment was of immeasurable value.
